Freehouse in North Devon.This delightful 16th Century lakeside thatched inn
nestles in a valley set in the beautiful Fortescue Estate amidst rolling fields
and lush woodland, not far from the stately home
Castle Hill.
Although secluded, the pub is within easy reach of Barnstaple, South Molton,
Exmoor and the coast.
We offer a warm welcome, whatever the season. In
winter, come and unwind in our cosy Bar or Restaurant - or, on balmy summer
evenings, watch our friendly ducks from the pergola overlooking our well-stocked
trout lake. We specialise in good wholesome home-cooked food, supported by a
range of beers, lagers, soft drinks and a small selection of good
wines.
